It will be when stuffplug is dumped and ProjectM is started. But for the time being I guess it isn't.

When that happens it obviously won't be posted in the development blog then. I think you would find I wasn't talking about the development blog but the "Recent News" Box on the main page. Anyway back on topic, again hope you go well with project M. -------------------- MWAMHAHAHAAAAA TEH THREAD KILLER :d

Aww, I so dislike the Development Blog. It never seems to say anything in detail or about the progress, only about that this and this will happen.
I hope this will be done sooner or later, if I ever switch to 9.0, it would be nice to have the feature to write 5000 characters in a message -------------------- |

I for one agree that the source code should be released for Stuffplug IF this indeed is another project and not Stuffplug 4.0

ProjectM is not StuffPlug, it is a side project
It will not replace StuffPlug, which is carrying on as it is. WLM9 isn't out yet, and seems to be everchanging, so making a StuffPlug that worked 100% with one release could mean having to start all over again for the next release of 9, and thats when it's not even public yet! |

TB,
How accessible would WLM be when you finished it? And how about interaction with other processes? For example would it be possible to add viritual contacts? Or hide contacts? Add some event handlers for those virtual contact? Faking raw protocol to the server and the client? Updating the trayicon, to enable subclassing (would interfere with MsgPlus I guess...) I know, lots of questions, but I can't wait to digg in... I learnt some JScript when I wrote PlusRemote, and it was so much fun I still run the useless script... |

d00d i've been an avid stuffplug user since the old days (sp 1.5 and so on) and i just had to thank the guy who created it and anyone else who is responsible for the progress on it thusfar.
from what i can tell project m is gunna completely take over and become the new wave of sp or am i completely way off on this? cuz it sounds pretty nice imo either way good luck on future builds and thanks for everything you've already done to 'spice up our messengers' |

What do you think? Well in any seriousness one would presume to atleast hear from the developer(s) in the small sence of maybe updating the webpage (stuffplug.com) with some actual news/updates to even keep us from asking over and over again. When you create something great (like I once thought this thing was) you gotta expect ppl behaving a bit like kids, the day before Christmas! Whrn you visit the webpage, one of the first things you see is a text in the middle saying "RECENT NEWS!" The very first topic under that says: "Stuffplug 3.5 Released!" Now clicking on that gives you: "Stuffplug 3.5 Released! Wednesday 9 January 2008, 19:23" Now that is not really recent news I would say. Personally I was pretty exited about this Project M, when I first noticed the thread back in April 2008 ! Today, one of the first sentences in the first post kinda lost all meaning QUOTE Oh? What happened to StuffPlug? In the process of trying to port it to Windows Live Messenger 9, and get to finish the Scripting feature, I got the feeling that the engine behind it was in no way proper for what I intended with it. So as WLM9 isn't out yet, and doesn't seem to be coming out anytime soon, I decided to start on something new instead of update the old and dusty things. Blasphemer himself was last seen (in this thread with the topic of the very interesting and exiting Project M) in Maj 2008 Is the project dead? Then just say so! 2 years of total silence is just stupid on so many levels. Someone needs to work on their communication skills! Really hard!........and it's not me. People are not really waiting, biting their finger nails, to hear news from me Am I harch? Am I out of line? I am a former "customer" or user (if that sounds better, since it was free to use) of an awesome application that I actually miss very much This time I actually more or less stumbled in here by accident. I had even forgotten about this application since I was "forced" to use the newer versions of WLM on the computer, and when finding this place again I first smiled when thinking: "-oh yes baby.... I hope it's out....." only to be greated with the exact same "RECENT NEWS" that I was greated with the last time I was in here checking about 16-18 months ago! I hope you all get what you are waiting for in the end =) I wish Blasphemer all good and thumbs up, love and respect for what's been made in the past and good luck for what will maybe come in the future! |
