For people interested in Scripting, read this:
http://www.stuffplug.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1420 For everyone else: If you have a copy of the WLM 8.1 installer, please contact me at tb[at]stuffplug.com. I would love to make SP3.5 compatible with WLM8.1, but currently I can't test it as I don't have it |

Good work TB.I know some people keep 'whining' about the late releases but i understand that this is not your job and you're not getting paid for it and there are other things important for you than StuffPlug. So some people who constantly 'whine' need to stop and appreciate TB's work

Hi !
Thank you very much for this release! But just one question : the French language will it be added to the options? It would be very handy! Thank you in advance for your answer. |

Can someone explain me the features "Memory Flusher" and "Security SpeedUp" with technical infos? I want to know what the features I activate exactly do to my messenger The memory flusher feature will occasionally force recently unused memory pages to your page file to free up RAM for other things. The security speed up feature is described in detail here: http://www.stuffplug.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1123 As a quick summary, messenger uses an inefficient method of catching bad words so that if you send/recieve a very large message, it will freeze messenger because it has to scan that long message several times. So this feature jumps in an uses a more efficient method of search. |

If you notice any bugs, even small ones like spelling mistakes, please report them in The Bug Manager so the developers have a proper record of them, as posts about them in threads on the forum are easily missed

You guys should read what TB said in his blog answering to me:
QUOTE On a slightly different note, I'd like to comment on what warmth said in reply to an earlier post. Yes, StuffPlug currently is pretty much dead: the code I have is just no longer compatible with the changes in WLM9, and I'd have to start a re-write sometime. Problem is that most of StuffPlug's features aren't really relevant anymore on Messenger 9, and so trying to re-write the entire beast for WLM9 won't really get me anywhere. I'd much rather start off with something small and build it up from there, much like StuffPlug was in the beginning. So if you have anything, anything at all, that bothers you about Messenger 9, please do tell me, and it might spark that required bit of passion to start working on something again. As for helping development of other projects; I have actually helped and contributed to both Plus! and MD in the past, and if I can help them again I'd still love to, but setting up an environment for different people to work on the same (hobby) project takes time and effort, and I'm not sure either of us are really ready to make that kind of effort. So, if you read this: please do leave a comment if you have any views on the whole lack of third-party development on Messenger 9, or if you have something that you'd like to see changed in Messenger 9 by a third-party add-on. I hope that TB doesn't get mad because me posting this here... this maybe will avoid people to get excited about something is going to not appear... like Calyp says...
