When Will The 8.5 Version Will Be Out? Options

hi ppl im a big fan of stuff plug but as i noticed it doesnt work on 8.5

can you please tell me when will the 8.5 version of stuff plug will be released?

In the meantime, to get the current version of StuffPlug 3 to work with Windows Live Messenger 8.5, give this thread a read: http://www.stuffplug.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1174

Messer Nitemare reported to us about the following trick by the hand of Stuffplug's creator himself, TB:

1) Launch regedit
2) Create a new registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger
3) In this key, create a string value called "InstallationDirectory" that points to the Windows Live Messenger installation directory (C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger by default)
4) Install Stuffplug

NOTE: "Replace default emoticons" and "Action text" features are not yet compatable with Windows Live Messenger 8.5 Beta.

i tried it and no results. i cant install SP3 but it does nothing in WLM 8.5. any ideas?

If the registry hack doesn't work, just uninstall WLM 8.5, install WLM 8.1, install StuffPlug, reinstall WLM 8.5, and then move the msacm32.dll file from %programfiles%\MSN Messenger to %programfiles%\Windows Live\Messenger. Next time you start WLM StuffPlug (with the exception of two features) will be working.

Of course this was mentioned in many other threads around the forum anyway...

Is it possible for someone to upload that .dll by chance?

I don't' want to uninstall it, then I'll have to reinstall all the other addons and whatnot. :S

If not, then ahhh well.

If what you're saying is you haven't installed StuffPlug and don't want to hack the registry or uninstall WLM, what will uploading the dll achieve if the program itself isn't installed? StuffPlug is much more than a simple dll in messenger's program files directory you know...

If you have already installed StuffPlug, you just need to move the file to the new directory. But either way StuffPlug's going to need to be installed at some stage - and that isn't going to work by placing a random dll somewhere.

I would like to know if someone knows when a version for 8.5 will come didnt hear anything from it for a looooooooooooooong time. I start thinking there will never be a version for WLM 8.5!

As I already says, please just be patient, and the new Stuffplug will be released when testing is done!
