Hey all, just joined the forum
Just wanted to find out if anyone knew how to make smileys any bigger than 50x50 or if the new version (or older version) of stuffplug will let you do this? Cheers! -------------------- "Purple Rain?" "No" "Sign o' the Times?" "Definitely not." "The Batman soundtrack?" "Throw it. "

The purpose of the display giant emoticons feature in StuffPlug 2 and the upcomming SP3 is to show emoticons at the actual size they were created at before they were shrunk down due to automatic resizing. If you want to make your emoticons big...edit them in an image editing program, or if it's an animation, use a bigger canvas.

To put it simply...you can't - at least, as far as anyone who's read this thread is aware of...

Slightly larger icons can be added by installing them in a pack. (or stealing them with SP3)

First off, "small" emoticons (like the default ones) are 19x19.
Animated icons can be 50x50 pixels or smaller. You CANT have ANY emoticons larger than 50x50 (without using SPNG + MSN 7). Period. However... If you want static (non-moving) emoticons to be 50x50, then take your image into an animator. I use ImageReady. Now create a new frame that is the same as your static image. Add at least ONE pixel thats different (I normally alter a color), now save as an animated gif. Import into msn, and the only thing you'll notice is a flicker where the different pixel is. But you'll have a big (almost) non-moving emoticon :]! |

That's right. Animated smileys can be 50x50. Just download a freeware like Microsoft Gif Animator (http://www.freewareweb.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?screenshot=1&ID=288)
then, add the same gif into 2 frames, and that's it. U don't need to change the image, u can use the same image twice, so it will be non-animated, really. Good Luck! This post has been edited by serknor: Mar 24 2007, 11:07 PM |
